As I said before, Fiat improves people’s lot, though it does not care how many people. Thenonly goal ofthe system: it the moneys supply growing. The problem with that is that there is no guarantee that it will end up on the right path. What has kept Fiat, more or less, in the better path has been people struggle, protests, and near-revolutions.
We lean, and often fall, towards fascist dictatorhips. Some times for many years, as is the case in Russia, North Korea, Cuba, and other places. It happens because capitalist system says nothinh so long as some people are making money and amassing more power. Thism used to be brutes with guns, now it is smart people with guns. Think of Stalin and Fidel Castro, old face, versus new face Trump and Musk.
The way we are going about with Radical is to 1) go down to the roots of the system we want, and 2) provide a very simple foundation,
In Radical speak, a company is people who come together to build something bigger than themselves. Businesses are dictatorships with their only reason-for-being is to make money for the owners.
The word “company” comes from the Latin co-, meaning ‘together’, and pan-, meaning ‘bread.’ In other words, people who break bread together.
We distinguish companies from businesses.
Meaning and Belonging |
These are important things to people. Finding meaning in what they do; belonging to a community that helps them. |
---|---|
Decentralization & Transparency |
Decentralization and transparency specify ranges; they are vectors. You can be move towards or away decentralization and transparency depending on the choices you make and decision you take. |
Experimentation |
Be explicit about what you expect (e.g., tomato paste with 50% acidity) and then experiment. If your results match your expectations, call it an innovation and celebrate. Otherwise, learn from it. |
This Foundation is what what make a company Radical. There may be other foundations over time.
