Change

By Matt Perez

“I hate change.”

When you hear, I hate change, what you are really hearing is Change is a threat, I am afraid of threats, and I don’t want them in my life. This foxhole protects me and allows me to survive. That other foxhole won’t do that.

And the more you dig yourself in your foxhole, the more threatening change is.

The people around you can help you out of the foxhole. People you trust. People who move out of the foxhole and survive just fine. Those people can help ease you out of your foxhole.

The boss won’t help you get out. He probably can not, but, in any case, it is not in best interest if what you do in your foxhole creates wealth for him. Your community will help you because they want your wellbeing.

When you do get out, celebrate it because you did it! You shed the limitations of your old foxhole!

To survive and thrive, you must evolve and adapt.
